In collaboration with the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics CRTL is developing a 2000 sq. ft. display hall on the cutting edge science and technology of the Biomedical Genomics. Through 26 interactive exhibits and large screen projection mapping the gallery deals with the topics like Genome: our operating system, Anatomy of human genome, Gene families, Comparative Genomics, Pharmacogenomics, Genetic variations, Epigenomics, Evolutionary Genomics, DNA finger printing, Rare and Common diseases, Indian contributions in Genetics, Cancer genomes etc.
All the exhibits in this hall are interactive and uses modern technologies like formation of glitch art using depth sensing, image processing, multimedia technologies and projection mapping. The project is to be completed by March 2018.
A rare and first of its kind display is a large circular artistic recreation of Sri Chaitaniya’s travel and preaching through the jungles of the Jharikhanda, fondly called the Jharikhanda Lila, using the Bengal Patachitra form. The artistic rendition of this story has been enhanced by a light and sound story-telling using audiovisual media. The museum is to be opened in 2018.
