About Us

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

CRTL undertakes various projects either on its own volition, by instruction of the controlling Ministry of the Government of India or through MoUs signed with other like-minded institutions. In undertaking any project, it is validated against the Mission and Vision statements of the unit. CRTL functions under the aegis of the National Council of Science Museums and with guidelines from the Executive Committee (EC) of the unit.

CRTL has recently signed the following MoUs for executing different projects:

  • MoU with K D Malaviya National Oil Museum Trust


    By virtue of this MoU signed between NCSM and K D Malaviya National Oil Museum Trust on September 2, 2013, CRTL developed a Detailed Project Report on the K D Malaviya National Oil Museum. The DPR has been prepared, submitted and approved.
  • MoU with Films Division, Ministry of I&B, GoI


    By virtue of this MoU signed between NCSM and Films division, Government of India on September 1, 2010, CRTL developed a Detailed Project Report on the K D Malaviya National Oil Museum. The DPR has been prepared, submitted and approved. Two phases of the National Museum of Indian Cinema has been developed. The design, development and installation works have been completed. The museum awaits inauguration.
  • MoU with Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, Government of Mauritius


    By virtue of this MoU signed between NCSM and Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, Government of Mauritius, CRTL developed it first overseas museum – the Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre, Mauritius. The 40,000 sq. ft. museum is functioning since 2014. Negotiations are on with CRTL towards organizing a further refurbishing and extension of the Science Centre.
  • MoU with NIBMG


    By virtue of this MoU signed between NCSM and National Institute of Biomedical Genomics, Ministry of Biotechnology, Government of India, CRTL is developing the Hall of Biomedical Genomics in the institute. The project is about to be completed in March 2018.
